Harksoft

Small software, built properly.

Harksoft designs and builds focused tools — a terminal you can reach from your phone, time tracking that invoices itself, a review site that reads like a person wrote it. Each one is built the whole way down, from the daemon on the machine to the DNS record in front of it.

See the work

The work

TermHub

Your machines' terminals, anywhere on your tailnet.

portal.harker.dev
  • Terminals stream peer-to-peer over your own Tailscale network — the cloud holds a registry of machines and nothing else.
  • Sessions live on the machine, not the browser, so a closed laptop or a phone that fell asleep costs you the connection and never the work.
  • Installs to a phone home screen and behaves like an app: drag to scroll, a real input line, and dictation that reaches the shell intact.

Timetracker

Time tracking that gets out of the way.

timetracker.harker.dev
  • Client, project and task, with a running timer or a duration typed after the fact — whichever matches how the day actually went.
  • Invoices generate straight from the tracked time, itemised however a client wants to see it, with custom templates per client.
  • Logs from the desktop too: a Linux status-bar plugin puts the whole flow behind one click and three keystrokes.

American Review Center

Honest, hands-on product reviews.

reviewcenter.harker.dev
  • Real reviewers score products across the categories that matter and explain the reasoning behind every number.
  • Category browsing, best-of-the-year picks, and a reviewer roster you can actually read about.
  • Server-rendered end to end, so pages arrive fast and search engines see the same thing visitors do.

Approach

Built end to end

The same hands write the daemon, the API, the interface and the infrastructure. Nothing gets handed across a boundary and lost in translation.

Small on purpose

Every feature earns its place. The fastest software is the software that never had the thing you didn't need.

Yours, not ours

Your terminals go over your network. Your data sits in your workspace. We hold as little of it as the job allows.
